Happy December, everyone! It’s the month of Christmas lights, Christmas cookies, and Christmas movies (I just watched the best Hallmark movie called “A Plum Pudding Mystery.” I highly recommend it!)! Most importantly for me, it is the month of enjoying all the people I love and my faith. On the Internet, I found a list of the Ultimate Christmas Bucket List. It has 45 fun activities to do this holiday season, and the Goeller Family has already checked off a few of them!

It’s going to be a pretty warm week with a high of 59 degrees on Wednesday! There is a good chance of rain towards the end of the week, and then it will get a little colder on Friday.

I need to do a quick Ohio State update. I was a little cocky last week, thinking that we were a shoe in to win. I will admit, I quit watching after the 3rd quarter. I couldn’t watch any more. Anyways, after that terrible game, there is still a good chance that the Buckeyes can still make it into the College Football Playoffs! Can you believe it??!! They will announce the teams on ESPN tomorrow (Sunday) at noon! Let’s all cross our fingers and toes!

Here’s our weekly update for the outside of the market!

Well, this was a whirlwind of a week, and our lights still aren’t up yet outside! BUT….Jim and I (and Sydney) are going to get them up this evening. Saturday date night! Lol.

There are still some beautiful live wreaths hanging outside waiting for your front door!

Here’s what is happening on the inside of Huck’s!

What a relaxing and fun evening we had last night during our Live Garland Class! The final product was absolutely beautiful! Thank you to all of you who came, to Merilee for teaching, and to Duffy for personalizing stockings and ornaments. Check out the pictures below!

For all of you out there, whose “Elf on a Shelf” came or is coming, ours came at home on Thursday. Her name is Snowflake. She has come to our home every December 1st for the past 10 years! Lol. Sydney had the idea that we needed to get an elf for Huck’s as well, so we got an elf, and she named him Chippy. So, Chippy will be watching everyone at Huck’s during the day and heading back to the North Pole at night. We will include pictures of Chippy in our weekly pictures up until Christmas.

I left early this morning and made a trip to get some more items for our craft and gift area. I got some more Christmas items, but I also got some really pretty things that are not seasonal. There are a couple of new lamps and some beautiful valances if you are wanting to spruce up your bathroom, bedroom, or kitchen!

We are now carrying wonderful smelling candles from the Duck Creek Candle Co.! These candles have the most beautiful labels, and there are all sorts of delightful scents like Granny’s House, Hansel and Gretel, and Raspberry Vanilla. Plus, they are a local business! Here is a write up from them:

We sold out again of the Zimmerview’s ground beef and sausage, but we have a large order coming in on Monday!

Our bakery is busy making lots of Christmas cookies and other goodies! Please come in and try something new or stick with your very favorites. There are also Christmas candies and plenty of snack choices.

Check out all our Christmas gift boxes and baskets! There will be some this week to buy off the shelf!

I don’t know about you, but I love a planner. I know it would probably be more convenient to just use the calendar on my phone, but I still love to stay organized with a handwritten planner. My very favorite is the Engagement Planner by Lang. (My sister and I have used them for 20+ years!) They have the most beautiful pictures and styles. Today, we just put out Lang wall calendars, Engagement Planners, and some boxes of Christmas cards. I hope you like them as much as I do!

EVENTS

Saturday, December 10th: Huck’s Farm Market Annual Christmas Open House

We have been working hard to get this day planned and ready, and we are hoping that you are able to take a little time to stop in next Saturday!

We will have lots of samples of different deli salads (we are going to try a few new ones and see what you think!), cheeses, meats, crackers, jellies, cookies, soups, etc.

There will be warm apple cider with Aspen Mulled Spices as well as some hot chocolate with marshmallows (or without)!

We will have different drawings that you can enter as well. Drawings will be Saturday afternoon for a free sub sandwich, full-size pie of your choice, custom made Christmas t-shirt, 24 oz. candle, and a Christmas tumbler.

Outside we will be doing the following activities between 12-4 p.m.!

Kids can make an Angel Tree Topper, Santa Advent Calendar and slime. They can color a picture for a Coloring Contest (judging will be at 4:00) with cash prizes and decorate a sugar cookie. All these activities are free!

There will be a photo booth and you can get your picture without waiting! Cost is $5.00.

Duffy Sprague from Duffy’s Designs will be able to personalize stockings and shirts and Merilee will have some handmade live garland to buy.

Just a quick note: We are going to heat and block off the seating area outside for these activities, but that being said, you may still want to wear a coat and have your kids wear a coat, so everyone stays warm.
