Hello! It’s officially time for Christmas!! The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas can be so busy, but in my opinion, like the song says, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!” Hopefully, you have been able to take advantage of the warmer temperatures! I spent yesterday getting up all the Christmas decorations inside our house (except for our live Christmas tree….we are hoping to get that up and decorated this evening), but my outside looks like Fall came and went. Everything is brown and looks like its better days were way in the past. I’m hoping we will have time in the next couple of days to get that cleaned up and get the lights up outside!

If we don’t have any time to do that today, it’s for a couple of good reasons! #1: It’s Small Business Saturday! We have some sales going on at the market! *40% off all Fall Crafts/decor/gifts *20% off Christmas/decor/gifts *10% off Holiday Pie orders * These sales only last through today, and we are open until 5:00 p.m.! Hope to see ya there!

Reason #2: The Buckeyes are playing *ichigan at noon! What an exciting game it will be! Buckeyes are ranked #2 and the Wolverines (BOO!) are ranked #3. I know we are going to win! Actually, if you ask Alexa, she will tell you that the Buckeyes are favored to win by 8. I checked up if there are any tickets left. Looks like you could still go for about $500 for a ticket by yourself. My mom turns 76 today, and the best present for her would be an Ohio State W-I-N today!

Here’s what’s happening at the market outside!

If you look at the front, you will see all sorts of live Christmas wreaths. Some of them have red velvet bows already attached, and some have berries and pine cones on them. We do have some already made up bows on the inside and will have some ribbon for you crafty customers who like to make your own bows! Nothing looks more welcoming than a pretty Christmas wreath with a pretty, big bow!

Jim’s been working outside getting everything cleaned up and ready for Christmas. He’s got big plans for lights and hopes that those will up and ready in the next few days.

On the inside, there’s lots to discuss as well!

Poinsettias! I love a Christmas poinsettia! We have pretty red and creamy white ones. We have them in 4″ and 6″ pots. They would be perfect at your office desk, on your holiday table, or somewhere else to show some festivity! Poinsettias are a delicate flower that originated in Mexico, so they don’t like the cold! Just a reminder that poinsettias can be harmful to cats. I just read that the sap can cause irritation to a cat’s mouth and esophagus.

Jim just got back with another load of Ohio apples! Here’s what he was able to get during this round: Mutsu, Pink Lady, Cortland, and Golden Delicious. We still have plenty of Granny Smith and McIntosh. He’s also going to be going again later this week to pick more up. Apples are slowing down this time of year, so come on in and grab some up while you still can!

Christmas candies have arrived! There are candy platters, different types of mints, and pretty decorated chocolate covered pretzels. There are caramels, and of course the favorite Dutch Delights, which are premium Amish made chocolates. There are even Sugar Free options. With all of our yummy baked goods, Huck’s has you covered for all your holiday splurges!

We are still taking your orders for holiday gift baskets/boxes and fruit baskets/boxes! They are so pretty and make a nice gift for someone who has everything, because cheeses, smoked sausages, crackers, jellies, and chocolates will not go to waste! They are also a great option for someone who lives far away, and we will take care of the shipping for ya!

Here are the types of party trays that we offer in both small and large sizes: Vegetable Tray, Sliced Cheese Tray, Chunked Cheese Tray, Meat and Cheese Tray, Condiment Tray, Sandwich Tray, and Cookie Tray. We can customize these to fit your tastes and preferences! Think of Huck’s if you are in charge of bringing something to a church gathering, a work party, a family get together, or even if you are hosting your own Christmas party!
