Happy Thanksgiving to you all!! Jim and I hope that you all have some time over the next week to count your blessings, be with your families, relax, and do some things you enjoy! I know that is what we are looking forward to doing over the Holiday weekend!

I usually always mention something about the weather, so…..what a cold and snowy week we had! I think I saw snowflakes most days last week, and I still can’t believe that we had snow on the ground before Thanksgiving! I can’t remember the last time that happened. Sydney went sled riding down our hill as soon as she got home from school yesterday. Of course, her sled hardly moved (Ha!), but she was still happy!

I have to say a big shout out to all the ladies who came out last night for our Thanksgiving Centerpiece class. Everyone had fun, laughed, and left with a beautiful flower arrangement! Thank you so much for being a part of our very first class! And a big THANK you to Merilee (you are a great teacher!) and Duffy who both helped me so much. This class wouldn’t have happened without them. There’s nothing like a girls’ night out! Check out the picture below!

Here’s our weekly update for outside…..

I love when it is time to get our Christmas decorations up at home, and we are really excited to get them up at the market! It will help to brighten some things up while we wait for flower season and Spring.

Inside is where all the action is this time of year! Here’s what you can find…..

We have a nice display set up with examples of Christmas gift baskets and boxes. There are several different sizes, and we can customize them as well. Pretty soon we will have some out ready to sell right off the shelf. We are taking orders for these as we speak!

Duffy Sprague from Duffy’s Designs has brought in some adorable Christmas items for you all! There are Christmas mugs and shirts (with such a quality design and material!) and tumblers and ornaments and blankets and garden flags! It’s all really cute and well done. We can also take orders for things that you see or if you want something different. She’s very talented!

We have some smaller white and orange pumpkins in the produce section for $1.50. They would be really pretty on your Thanksgiving table on Thursday if you are looking for an inexpensive way to dress it up. We have a few bundles of Indian corn for $1.00 and some bittersweet for a quarter. There are also some runners and other Fall items to add to a pretty place setting!

We still have some Ohio apples! We had the sweetest, young teacher (and a former student of mine) take home a bushel of the Winesap apples to make some homemade Apple Pie filling. Doesn’t that just sound so yummy! Have fun with that, Megan!

Now, on to the bakery! We are getting lots of orders for Thanksgiving pies but would still be able to fill your order as well! Here is the list again of our pies: Apple, Caramel Apple Walnut, Dutch Apple, Apple Cinnamon, Cherry, Blackberry, Blueberry, Very Berry, Peach, Pecan, Strawberry Rhubarb, Pecan, Pumpkin, Chocolate Cream, and Coconut Cream. Please get your order in as soon as you can, but you can still pre-order up until Tuesday! Also, just a reminder that Wednesday we will be closing at 4:00 p.m., so plan accordingly!

The deli and sandwich shop is buzzing! Stop in for a sandwich, sub, garden salad, deli salad, and/or soup this week when you are too busy to cook! Plus, if you are like me…..I say NO cooking supper on Wednesday night (maybe Tuesday night too!)….there’s too much to make for Thanksgiving Day! Lol.

I do want to highlight the Cranberry Salad that we are making homemade. It’s a really tasty recipe. We are offering samples over the next couple of days, and you can try it and see what you think. Then, you can order some for your Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas gatherings over the next month!
