The Christmas season has begun! It’s time for decorating, shopping, parties, church celebrations, Christmas programs, and Christmas music! Hopefully, you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are ready for the festivities of the holidays to begin! If you like to shop on a schedule, then….

Today is Small Business Saturday!

Next, Cyber Monday….and Giving Tuesday! Then, it goes back to regular ol’ Christmas shopping. Lol!

You know what happens at noon today?….It’s the Ohio State v. Michigan game! What a game it will be! You have the #2 Buckeyes playing the #3 Wolverines. Oh, I hope the Buckeyes can pull out the win. The Goeller household may not be able to take a third loss in a row….The all-record for this match up is 60-51-6. The team up North has won 9 more times than us! Come on, Bucks! You can do it!

The history of this rivalry has roots all the way back to The Toledo War in 1835. Michigan and Ohio were at war over the borderline between the two states, both of whom wanted the Toledo strip. There was no actual fighting, but the two states put troops in the Toledo area. After a scuffle led to a sheriff being stabbed, the two states decided to peacefully end their disagreement. Once the Woody Hayes/Bo Schembechler Era began, the rivalry between the scarlet and gray and the maize and blue ramped up even more! It is now the biggest rivalry in college football! You can read more details at https://observer.case.edu/the-origin-of-the-ohio-michigan-rivalry/ GOOOO BUCKS!

I’m wishing my mama, Ruthie Hall, a very Happy Birthday today! She’s fun, loving, and the best mom and granny! Love you, mother!

If you write a comment on the newsletter, unfortunately, I can’t answer it. I will answer you with a message. I got banned from writing comments, because “they” said that I’m not being inclusive enough. It’s because I wrote a comment back to Haney’s Kettle Corn that they have the best kettle corn. I guess you can’t write the word “best” or your comments will be banned for singling someone out as better than others. Hahaha! Sometimes I wonder, are we living in 2023 or in the Twilight Zone? Anyway, I didn’t want anyone to think we were being rude for not responding!

Here’s our update for outside!

Jim and I did a final Fall clean up outside yesterday! We got rid of all the pumpkins and corn shocks. Now, we need to do that at home!

We got in some 22″ live wreaths. They are just $16.99!

Today, we will also have some 28″ live wreaths with juniper berries and pine cones on them to dress them up! The price on these will be $29.99!

Let’s get a pretty live wreath to dress up our front doors! How welcoming we will be!

Look for our lights and Christmas inflatables to be up in the next day or two!

Here’s our inside update…..

We have some pretty 4″ red and white poinsettias priced at $3.99 each! They are an inexpensive way to add a little color to a table or mantle! Just a reminder that poinsettias are poisonous to pets. If they eat it, they can get a rash inside their mouth and an upset belly. (Poison Control)
