Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Thanksgiving is definitely one of my favorite days of the year! We have so many blessings and are grateful for so many things. I’m sure you feel the same! At Huck’s we are thankful for our wonderful customers. We hope you have a wonderful day full of good food, good people, and a nice nap!

Huck’s will be closing on Wednesday this week at 4:00, so all our employees can celebrate Thanksgiving. We will reopen Friday at 9:00 a.m. for Black Friday!

One of our favorite traditions at home is to watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”, which originally aired on November 20, 1973, and “This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers” which came out in 1988.

“We should just be thankful for being together. I think that’s what they mean by ‘Thanksgiving,’ Charlie Brown.” — Marcie….I think Marcie has it right!

Norwood United Methodist Church is offering a free Thanksgiving meal for pick up or delivery on Thursday. Reservations can be made starting on Sunday, Nov. 19 and must be made by Wednesday, Nov. 22. Here is an article that gives more information. What a wonderful way to serve our community! God bless you and your church!

Here is a little Thanksgiving trivia for you all! In 1953, Swanson’s had 260 tons of frozen turkeys left after Thanksgiving….they decided to use them by putting a whole dinner in an aluminum tray…those were the first TV dinners! Butterball has a hotline for all your turkey problems and questions! Lol. The largest turkey weighed 86 pounds. Thanksgiving Eve is the biggest pizza night of the year! And the average person only gains 1 pound on Thanksgiving, so eat all your favorites! (protocol80.com)

Here’s what’s happening inside the market….

Rolls and pies! We are still taking orders! We will also make sure to have extra pies and rolls laid out for those of you who like to pick out your own! Just another reminder that we will be closing at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, so be sure to stop in before then! We wouldn’t want you to be without your favorite pie on Thanksgiving!

Don’t forget the noodles! We have the best noodles from Mrs. Miller and Walnut Creek. They come in wide, medium, and thin. We also have chicken broth from Walnut Creek to help you make the best noodles possible!

Thank you to St.Mary’s Elementary for doing a Thanksgiving Pie Fundraiser! We enjoyed working with you!
