Welcome to the week of LOVE! Valentine’s Day is on Wednesday. Don’t get yourself in the doghouse by forgetting this day!

Cupid was not always depicted as the chubby infant that we all think of. Cupid was the heartthrob son of the Roman goddess, Venus. He would actually try to trick and cause problems when it came to love. During the Renaissance period, an artist painted Cupid as a young boy with a boy and arrow. When valentines became popular in the 1800s, the adorable cherub was created!

It is not too late to order some big, fresh chocolate covered strawberries! We will take orders through Tuesday. You can order at either location, and we can bring to either location for you to pick up. One dozen chocolate covered strawberries are $24.99! Choose from milk, white, or dark chocolate for the dipping and you can choose a different chocolate for a pretty drizzle over top. This would make a the perfect Valentine’s present for your children, parents, love, or yourself! I’m hoping I get some milk chocolate strawberries with a mix of dark and white drizzle on top…..

It’s Super Bowl Sunday!!!!! Wahoo! Kick off is at 6:30 p.m. and the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet starts at 2:00 p.m. Huck’s has all sorts of meats, cheeses, trays, breads, crackers, sausages, etc. for you to have an enjoyable Super Bowl! We can do up trays for you if you would like! We have veggie, fruit, meat and cheese, sandwich, and cookie trays in both small and large sizes. There are lots of cookies and snacks as well! Most of us will have to work Monday morning, so this is a delicious and easy way to enjoy the game without cooking all afternoon and doing a bunch of dishes! That’s my kind of Super Bowl party!

Only 38 days until Spring! It’s coming! This warm weather has been a wonderful treat hasn’t it? But winter temps are back on the horizon starting next week.

Did you know that out of the thousands of insects that are in the average garden, only 10% of them are destructive? Most are helpful or are harmless. Helpful insects fall into three different categories….Pollinators, Predators, and Parasitizers. Pollinators include bees, moths, and butterflies. Predators, like ladybugs and praying mantids, eat bad insects in our gardens. Finally, parasitizers lay their eggs on top of destructive insects. When the eggs hatch, they feed on the host insect.
