It’s the first full week of November, and it’s time to turn back your clocks tonight! I enjoy getting more light in the morning, but I do not look forward to the dark evenings. Here is an interesting fact about daylight saving time….Benjamin Franklin actually came up with the idea about a century before it was adopted by any country. He thought it would save money because it would conserve candle wax. He also thought the dark mornings would make people stay in bed and be lazy (mentalfloss.com).

We have two craft nights that just got scheduled! We will be doing a Fall craft/Thanksgiving centerpiece craft night (adorable!) on Friday, November 10th, and TWO delightful Christmas crafts in one night on Friday, December 1st! I’ll be posting the details down below, so be sure to check that out!

Don’t forget to exercise your right to vote on Tuesday, November 7th! Cam got trained to work the polls last week for Youth at the Booth, so I know he’s excited to get to do that! We are so fortunate to live in a country where our votes do count, and we can vote however we want! God Bless America!

EVENTS:

Friday, November 10th @ 6:30 p.m.: Mason Jar Thanksgiving Centerpiece

We will be stenciling Mason Jars with the saying “In This House (Icon) We Give Thanks”, filling them with acorns, potpourri, pine cones, and fairy twinkle lights! Then, we will add fall flowers to the top in three pretty bouquets. These will look perfect with a few pie pumpkins and taper candlesticks on a pretty fall runner! I can’t wait! The cost of this class is $50. A picture similar to what we will make is down below!

Friday, December 1st @ 6:30 p.m.: TWO Christmas Crafts!

So, we can enjoy the holiday, we are offering two pretty crafts that can both be completed in one evening! The first is a set of three DIY Wintry Jars. These different sized jars are painted with glue and sprinkled with Epsom salts to give it a textured snowy feel, with raffia and a small piece of garland hanging down! Craft #2 is a snowflake wreath using artificial tree limbs, a big wooden snowflake, and a big buffalo check bow! These will both be so fun to do! And the cost is only $60 and that includes everything you need for both crafts! Pictures of a similar craft is posted down below!
