Hallelujah! Our website, hucksmarket.com, is now ready to take online orders for both Putnam Street and Muskingum Drive! Ordering online is so easy, and it’s so handy for all our busy customers. Plus, you can pay online! When you go to huckmarket.com, you can choose your location and start your order! This is exciting for both our customers and employees!

Well, it’s time to spring forward! It can be a tough to lose an hour of sleep, although as Jim and I get older, we don’t sleep as much as we used to! Tonight we will spring forward an hour! Yay! I love getting an extra hour of daylight in the evening. And with these lovely warm temperatures, it makes you want to get outside and enjoy! Ever wondered why we change our clocks at 2 o’clock in the morning? It actually has to do with the railroad. They found that Sunday morning at 2:00 AM had the least amount of disruption to train schedules

Make way for the return of the teeny tiny Spring peepers! I have been hearing these small, singing frogs for about a week now in the evenings at home. These little frogs are the size of a paperclip and are an early sign that Spring is on its way. The song the little peepers sing is the males calling a mate. The louder and faster they sing, the more likely they will attract a mate. What a sweet evening sound!

Here’s our update for the Putnam Street location!

Customer Review! We got the best compliment on our all beef chili dogs from Walnut Creek. The chili sauce is sweet and yummy. We can add cheese, relish, onion, ketchup, mustard, etc. and it is served on our freshly baked hot dog buns. These buns really do take a hotdog to the next level! And at a price of $2.99 for a plain hot dog or $3.99 for a chili dog, that’s a very affordable lunch!

There are two classes coming up at our Huck’s downtown location!

Friday night, March 15th, Duffy is going to help us make your choice of two different bunny signs. These are adorable!

The following Friday night, March 22nd, Miss Merrilee has a beautiful Easter bunny table centerpiece. I have a picture posted below. It’s bright, cheery and perfect for your Spring table!

Check out the descriptions below on how to sign up. There is still room in both classes!

Here’s our outside update….

I’m looking forward to next month when I can talk about plants arriving! Oh, well!

Did you know 4-h is ready to start? My sister, Amy Ketchum, Missy Hartline, and I are advisors of the Lynch Combined 4-h Club! And we are taking new members. We actually meet at Huck’s outside on the side porch! If you know any kiddos who are 3rd grade or older who would like to join 4-h, there are lots of wonderful clubs in our county to choose from! You can call the Extension Agency, and they can help you find a club that’s close to you! There are so many projects to choose from….livestock, pets, gardening, life skills, etc. I love 4-H!

Here’s our update at the main market…..

Easter candy came in this week! There are hens that lay bubble gum eggs, gummy bunnies, and other yummy goodies! We also have lots of pretty Spring colored pretzels. They come in lemon, strawberry, and kiwi flavors. All of them are very good, and are so pretty when they are in a bowl all together!

Soup’s on! Come on in and grab a steaming bowl of warm and comforting soup. Add some crackers and you’ve got a perfect lunch!

Here’s this week’s soup schedule:

Monday: Chicken Noodle and Chili

Tuesday: Vegetable Beef and Creamy Potato

Wednesday: Stuffed Pepper, White Chicken Chili

Thursday: Chicken Noodle, Sausage Tortellini

Friday: Cheesy Broccoli and Tomato Basil

just in time for baseball season! Jumbo sized gumballs are at Huck! These are bright and colorful, and are great for bubble blowing!

Pretty Prints and Tees has some adorable shirts/sweatshirts for St. Patrick’s Day. There are also inspirational shirts that are bound to get you and those who read them a better outlook! Before long, Vickie will be adding some shirts for men as well!

We are starting to take orders for custom made cemetery saddles and vases for Memorial Day. We can make them with whatever colors you would like for the flowers. The headstone saddles come in large and small. Large ones are $44.99 and the small ones are $27.99. Vases can be made to match the saddles or can be their own color scheme. Vases are $14.99. There will also be plenty of vases and saddles inside the store to buy as well!

Jim and I are heading to the Walnut Creek Food Show later this week! We don’t get to go anywhere just the two of us very often, so it should be fun! You get a chance to sample and see all of the new products that Walnut Creek has coming out, and it gives us a lot of ideas! We will have more to shar about this in the weeks to come I’m sure!

We have beautiful quarts of Amish Wedding Peaches and Vanilla Peaches! These are so delicious that you can easily substitute them as a healthier dessert!

We are all stocked up on the ever popular Dutch Delights! Once you try these, a regular old candy bar at the grocery store or convenience store just doesn’t cut it! Everyone seems to have their favorites….my favorite changes, but I love the English Toffee and the Chocolate Covered Marshmallows.

Huck’s can do all sorts of custom made meat, cheese, veggie, fruit, cookie, and sandwich trays. These are perfect for meetings, parties, get togethers, reunions, funerals, etc. You can call us at 740-374-2484, message us on Facebook, email us at hucksfarmmarket@gmail.com, or send us a fax at 740-373-0024.
